First Communion Today

Today, three of Trinity’s 2nd graders will be making their first communion; Bryce Aiden Martin, son of Kara and Scott Martin, Madeline Emelia Kuebler, daughter of Karen and Brandon Kuebler and Annabelle Jayne Strasser, daughter of Jenny and Taylor Strasser. May God’s blessings be with them today and always.

 

September Love Offering

September’s Love Offering benefits Lutheran Disaster Response. Please make your checks payable to Trinity with a notation “Love Offering”.

 

Adult Sunday School and The Takeaway Adult Sunday School Classes begin today

The Adult Sunday School class resumes again today in the Cecil Poole Room beginning at 9:30. Joe Molenda and Joanne Martin lead this Sunday School class. All are welcome!

The Takeaway Sunday School Bible Study resumes again today at 10:05am in the Hall of Memories. Today’s leaders will be: Ruth Johnson and Lise York. All are welcome!

 

Lay Communion

Lay Communion ministers will pick up communion kits this morning at the altar after communion has been dispersed and will disperse to home bound and shut in members.

 

Movie Night “Breakthrough” – Rescheduled

The Movie Night featuring the Christian film, “Breakthrough” has been rescheduled for Thursday evening, September 12th at 6:00pm. “Breakthrough” is based on a true story that has a powerful message. Come and enjoy a night of entertainment, popcorn, and discussion. All are welcome!

From This Foundation, Our Ministry Grows

There has been tremendous response thus far to the Capital Campaign appeal From This Foundation, Our Ministry Grows. From its inception and kickoff in 2018 thru July 31, 2019, $149,553.00 has been received in individual offerings, Memorials, WELCA, Trinity Commeratives, and from the Children of Trinity ($703.00). Over $401,387.00 has been committed to the Campaign and if you have not made a commitment you are invited to do so. The total renovation estimate is $925,000. Whether large or small, every commitment and gift makes a difference. Pledge cards are available in the Friendship Registers, and special packets of giving envelops are available in the Narthex of the Sanctuary. Thank you to everyone who has committed and/or contributed to this Campaign.

 

Trinity Commemoratives

Just in case you missed them on Easter Sunday… In support of the From This Foundation Our Ministry Grows several people are providing unique items that may be purchased to Commemorate Trinity. Items are available through the church office. Thank you to all who donated their time and talents!

Note Cards with the Trinity Fountain will be available on Easter morning during the Easter Breakfast – $10.00 for a pack of 5 cards. These cards were designed and provided by Laura Karabinis.

Trinity “Rocks” are colorful rocks painted and decorated with symbols of the Trinity made by Donna White are available in the church office. Suggested donation is $5.00 each.

Red Commemorative Writing Pens with Trinity’s info are available in the church office free to all Trinity families and friends. Please limit two per family.

Lee High School Chorus – September 18th at 6:30pm

On Wednesday, September 18th, the Robert E. Lee High School Chorus will be having their Fall Dinner Concert to raise funds for this year’s activities. The concert is always a delight as the students showcase their individual talents and serve the audience. Rae’s famous spaghetti will be served and is always a treat. Cost: $10.00 for teens and adults; children under 12: free. Doors open at 6:00pm. Come support our community by supporting the Lee High School chorus for this coming year.

 

Senior Youth Rescheduled

Due to Hurricane Dorian, the Senior Youth are rescheduling their first Tuesday meeting to this coming Tuesday, September 10th at 6:00pm. (NOTE: They will also meet on Tuesday, September 17th).

 

Lydia Circle – September 26th

The Lydia Circle will meet on September 26th at 7:00pm at Pastor Janis’ home.

 

Trinity’s Outreach Program for Newborns

Trinity provides Starter Kits for new mothers who are unable to provide for their newborns. These Starter Kits are given by the Hospital to the new mothers. The Starter Kits include all new items of Clothing, Hats, Socks, and Receiving Blankets. Community Bible Study

“Caring, in-depth Bible Study, available to all,” is the mission of Community Bible Study. Their new study year begins September 10th and this is a personal invitation to every Trinity member to come and enjoy refreshing fellowship and stimulating conversation in a non-denominational, no pressure atmosphere. This 30-week study will cover Joshua, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians and Revelations. We meet every Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 4129 Oxford Avenue (just off Ortega Blvd). Coffee Hour
