Baptism today of Clark Ray Murfin-Higel
Clark Ray Murfin-Higel, son of Randi and Kristina Murfin-Higel will be baptized this morning. Godparents are Brooke Domzal, Danielle Colley and Kate Colley. Congratulations and God’s many blessings to all.

Adult Sunday School and The Takeaway Adult Sunday School Classes
The Adult Sunday School class will resume again on September 8th.
The Takeaway Sunday School Bible Study will resume again on September 8th.
First Communion – September 8th at Either Service
After receiving instruction on the meaning of Holy Communion in the Lutheran Church, walking through how to receive Communion and making banners illustrating the meanings of Holy Communion, Trinity’s 2nd graders will receive their First Communion on September 8th at either worship service they prefer.
From This Foundation, Our Ministry Grows
There has been tremendous response thus far to the Capital Campaign appeal From This Foundation, Our Ministry Grows. From its inception and kickoff in 2018 thru July 31, 2019, $149,553.00 has been received in individual offerings through July 31st, memorials, WELCA, Trinity Commeratives, and from the Children of Trinity ($703.00). Over $401,387.00 has been committed to the Campaign and if you have not made a commitment you are invited to do so. The total renovation estimate is $925,000. Whether large or small, every commitment and gift makes a difference. Pledge cards are available in the Friendship Registers, and special packets of giving envelops are available in the Narthex of the Sanctuary. Thank you to everyone who has committed and/or contributed to this Campaign.
Just in case you missed them on Easter Sunday… In support of the From This Foundation Our Ministry Grows several people are providing unique items that may be purchased to Commemorate Trinity. Items are available through the church office. Thank you to all who donated their time and talents!
Note Cards with the Trinity Fountain will be available on Easter morning during the Easter Breakfast – $10.00 for a pack of 5 cards. These cards were designed and provided by Laura Karabinis.
Trinity “Rocks” are colorful rocks painted and decorated with symbols of the Trinity made by Donna White are available in the church office. Suggested donation is $5.00 each.
Red Commemorative Writing Pens with Trinity’s info are available in the church office free to all Trinity families and friends. Please limit two per family.
Trinity’s Outreach Program for Newborns
Trinity provides Starter Kits for new mothers who are unable to provide for their newborns. These Starter Kits are given by the Hospital to the new mothers. The Starter Kits include all new items of Clothing, Hats, Socks, and Receiving Blankets. If you can provide any of these items or need additional information about this project, please contact Berni Tomaszewski 699-7638 or Judy Hassler 545-1502. Thank you for your help!
Movie Night – “Breakthrough”
The Christian movie, “Breakthrough”, based on a true story will be shown at the church at 6:00pm on Wednesday, September 4th. Come and enjoy a night of entertainment, popcorn and discussion. All are welcome!
Lee High School Chorus – September 18th at 6:30pm
On Wednesday, September 18th, the Robert E. Lee High School Chorus will be having their Fall Dinner Concert to raise funds for this year’s activities. The concert is always a delight as the students showcase their individual talents and serve the audience. Rae’s famous spaghetti will be served and is always a treat. Cost: $10.00 for teens and adults; children under 12: free. Doors open at 6:00pm. Come support the church community by supporting the Lee High School chorus for this coming year.
Community Bible Study
“Caring, in-depth Bible Study, available to all,” is the mission of Community Bible Study. Their new study year begins September 10th and this is a personal invitation to every Trinity member to come and enjoy refreshing fellowship and stimulating conversation in a non-denominational, no pressure atmosphere. This 30-week study will cover Joshua, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians and Revelations. We meet every Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 4129 Oxford Avenue (just off Ortega Blvd). Cost for the year is $35.00 and covers all materials, including multiple books. Questions? See Tom or Linda Culverwell, Byron or Mary Bollingberg, Karen Brown, Kitty Howell, or Joanne Martin.
